Progress!!!!!

I just got back from my 38-week appointment and I'm dilated 3-4cm!!! YAHOO!! I can't believe it. At this point with Daniel, I was already in the hospital begging for the epidural in order to relieve the pain of the horrible contractions. I was given my epidural at 4cm with him. Dr. Beatty checked me this morning and said, "wow, the baby's head is right there, and oh my gosh, you are 3cm dilated and I could stretch it to 4cm!" She said that once I start having consistent contractions to get to the hospital right away as the baby will be coming fast! That's great -- as long as Jason has cell phone reception where he's working (no reception in most manholes)! I tried calling him after my appointment, and no answer...that scares me! Anyway, hopefully this means the baby will come soon, but there is really no way of knowing. I could sit at this stage for another week+ but am crossing my fingers that it'll happen within a few days. Spicy foods and walk-a-thon - here I come!
