Adam update

Due to his paranoid mommy, this morning Adam had a follow-up doctor's appointment for a weight check. Good news: he is well on his way to reaching his birth weight...today he weighed 6lbs. 12oz. Hurray!! I am super excited that this nursing thing is working out! I never knew how simple life could be since all I knew with Daniel was bottles (washing, mixing, warming, feeding, packing diaper bag full of water and formula, washing again, yada yada). I didn't mind it at all with Daniel, but now I know the ease of not having to do all of that. Our goal is for Adam to make it back to his birth weight (6lbs. 15oz.) by his two-week birthday, so we will be headed to another doctor's appt. on Monday the 20th. The doctor said he is doing great. She asked how Daniel is doing and I mentioned how we are trying to teach him to be a little quieter. She said that the baby is used to the noise and will adjust. Basically, she said that we don't want Daniel to resent the baby and to not try to make him change his noisy ways. I think part of it is our lack of sleep, hence less patience on our part. Jay and I will work on this!

Yay! Sounds like things are going just exactly as they should. And I agree with the doc, I think Christopher actually sleeps better when there's noise now! We were never able to 'quiet' the girls thus, the eternal noise worked to our benefit. ;)
