We took a trip to the doctor's office yesterday for Daniel's stomach pains, and it must have put his mind at ease that he'll be okay (and ours too!)...today he is bouncing off the walls. He had one episode first thing this morning when he called me into the bathroom to keep him company and then when I finally stumbled out of bed and stood there with him he said, "it's okay mom, it doesn't hurt anymore, you can go back to bed."
Well fast forward a few hours and he is acting his normal energetic self. He and Adam are currently building a fort in Daniel's room and we just had a quick conversation that cracked me up:
Daniel: Mom can we take the pillows from the couch for our fort?
Me: Not this time, Daniel. I'm trying to pick up the house right now.
Daniel: Come on Mom, we need more stuff.
Me: I just saw all the stuff you have for your fort between the stuffed animals and blankets from both of your rooms. Now go along and go have a tea party with your animals or something.
Daniel: WHAT??? We are NOT girls, Mom. Why would you say that? We are DEFFINITELY NOT girls.
Update: Well I spoke too soon when I first wrote this post. Poor little Daniel is still not good. He made it from about 6:30 - 11:00am with no problems, but we are back to frequent potty trips including the screaming and yelling about how much his belly hurts. I wish it didn't take so long for stool culture results. They claim it'll be available Tuesday or Wednesday. :(
