The Cookie That Was...

Go figure. Daniel walked out with yet another cookie. It's been very difficult trying to keep him from the hoards of cookies that we've gathered throughout the holidays. If he had it his way, he'd live off of cookies - seriously. Daniel definitely has his daddy's sweet tooth. Anyhow, when Daniel walked out with another cookie, after having several prior, I knew it was time to cut him off. He doesn't have a very sneaky style, as he will rat out himself and anyone else that proceeds to give him sweets. So when he walked out with cookie number three and waved it in my face, while batting his big blue eyes, I had to tell him he'd had enough for the day. He willingly said, "okay, I'll go put it back, mommy." I should have realized that he was gone a little too long to just have put it back where he got it, but I figured maybe he got side-tracked in his playroom. Then he innocently came back and confirmed he put it back. I forgot about it until I sat down next to the box of cookies later, and saw the cookie that he put back, or shall we say....CRUMB (see red circle below). So smooth and innocent....yeah right!

Shocking, as I am just about to wrap up my post, Daniel just said, "mom, can I have a cookie?"

Oh my goodness. This is too funny. He is learning to be very very sneaky... :)
