Our lil T-baller

Oops...forgot to blog about Opening Day baseball, March 13, 2010. Daniel's first year playing t-ball. It's Great. Fun. Exciting. Hilarious. Amazing. Opening Day started with a parade around the neighborhood, one that we have always made sure to watch as spectators and of course collect some candy that's thrown from the floats. Can't believe that we are now part of the Little League parade. We were on a float, throwing candy! I think Daniel ate as much candy as he threw. Following the parade, the Opening Ceremonies introduced each team on the Major's field.
The Diamondbacks were announced and even our "Manager, Jason Bee," was announced as well! After the ceremony, the first game was played. It was awesome seeing our little guy out there playing baseball! Daniel was the very first kid up to bat. All of his team mates were cheering for him, chanting, "Go Daniel, Go..." First two swings were strikes. On his third try, he hit the ball solid, and ran -- straight to the pitchers mound! It was soooo cute! The other hilarious part to the game was watching our players in the field. All 13 kids ran to the ball no matter what position they were playing. Loved it. Daniel had a blast and said his favorite thing to do was, "hitting" and "being the pitcher" - that is about as far as most kids hit so he get to retrieve most of the balls and throw them to first base. I must say, Daniel has quite the arm and great aim. You can definitely tell which dad's practice with their kids. I'm thankful for having such a great, involved husband/dad, as well as a very athletic and coordinated child! Here's to a great baseball season!! Go Diamondbacks!
